At this visit, growth, nutrition, and development are assessed.Vaccines are recommended and include the MMR, Varicella and Hepatitis A. An Influenza vaccine is recommended and may be offered depending on availability. Spot vision screen will be performed to screen for early signs of vision problems. If not done at the nine month visit, screening for anemia and lead exposure will be performed with a finger stick in the office. The hemoglobin results are immediate, however the lead results take a week. You will be notified of any abnormalities and results are published to your portal. If you have questions or don’t see results after the test is performed, please call our office.Oral health is important in maintaining strong teeth. Fluoride varnish is available for application in the office.
